Cirencester & District League
Division One
Siddington 1
Hatherop 3
HATHEROP ensured they didn't lose ground on league leaders The Beeches, coming from behind to secure a 3-1 win away to Siddington on Saturday, October 15.
In a first-half that was pretty much dominated by the hosts, with Jerome Dodson and James Richards getting behind at will, the first goal went to Siddington.
Hatherop responded well with an equaliser from Adam Ockwell following a free-flowing move, and the second-half saw the visitors turn the game on its head.
Chances came and went for both sides, but it was Richie Crocker who latched on to a pass and snuck it under the oncoming keeper to make it 2-1 to Hatherop.
The game was still close in the remaining minutes before Ockwell headed home from a Crocker free kick that was initially well-saved by the Siddington goalkeeper to seal all three points, keeping the visitors second in the league table.
Man of the match: Rob Stewart
