I WRITE with interest about the action group which is to review the Market Place. It is not clear who set this up and what power it has.
Is Cirencester Access Group, which deals with issues for disabled people, being consulted?
Mr Gilmore stated that they need to identify the main issues. Could I suggest that they look at the issues concerning disabled people, lack of disabled parking spaces in the Market Place and the inability to use a blue badge.
If Cricklade Street is closed for seven days, this also affects blue badge holders. I can only at the moment use it on a Sunday, but that looks as though that is going to end. I can no longer shop in the town. I think I am not alone in this.
I have written twice to Mr Tubb about these matters and his replies have been unsatisfactory.
Mr Tubb said in his letters to me that trade in Cirencester hadn’t dropped. I do not agree with this. Two shops have already closed.
