I READ with interest your report that Cotswold MP Geoffrey Clifton-Brown has demanded the Government’s reassurances on Brexit after the High Court ruled that there must be full parliamentary scrutiny.
Mr Clifton-Brown is elected to parliament to represent and serve his constituents.
He would do well to remember that a majority of the Cotswold electorate, on an 80 per cent turnout, voted in favour of remaining in the EU and will no doubt feel reassured by the High Court ruling.
There is much talk of an early General Election.
If our elected MP wishes to be returned to parliament for a further term, he should consider the views and concerns of his own constituents before ploughing his own furrow.
