I WAS driving from Cirencester to Northleach on February 10.
As I was driving out of Fossebridge in the inside lane overtaking a large articulated lorry, I suddenly hit a pothole, which was followed by a loud noise, which immediately affected my steering.
When I found a safe place to pull over I called the RAC and an examination of my driver side wheel found it to be completely damaged.
My spare tyre was put on to get home. I drove to a safe area to turn around to return to Cirencester.
As I passed the pothole there was a black BMW in it. I could not believe it had happened again so quickly.
I reported the incident to the highways department immediately, I just hope the repair has been carried out as this section of road has claimed so many lives in the last 12 months.
I have been left with a bill for £150 to replace the wheel.
Let’s please do something on this road before another fatality happens.
