CONGRATULATIONS to Danny Kent from Tetbury who has just won the motorcycling Moto3 world championship.
He brings to an end a 38-year wait for a British champion at this elite level, with the previous winner Barry Sheene, who took the 500cc world title in 1977.
Throughout the year, Danny has demonstrated his immense skill as well as patience when needed, by settling for points not wins in the final few races.
I have written to Cotswold District Council’s chairman requesting that we honour him in some appropriate manner and await his response.
Well done Danny, we are very proud of you.
