A NEW day to mark the importance of British inventors has noted that James Dyson is the UK’s second most known innovator after Alexander Graham Bell.
The founder of the Malmesbury based company has had a wide variety of his ideas realised, from amphibious trucks to high tech hand dryers and now officially ranks just behind the inventor of the telephone.
The study by BT involved 2,000 adults and 1,000 12-16 year-olds and also found that women and girls felt they were less inventive than men and boys respectively.
