MALMESBURY is often celebrated for the creativity of the people who live there.
One such creative resident is Andrew Carnegie who has been selected to recite his poetry in television adverts for the building society Nationwide.
Andrew began writing poetry on Twitter in 2014 after the idea came to him in a dream as a way of supporting the Wiltshire charity Doorway Project.
He quickly gained popularity and with the aim of writing one poem a day he now has more than 11,000 followers.
Andrew’s poems range in subject matter from politically topical to slightly humorous.
His latest project is to collect the poems he writes in 2017 and collate them into a book to be released next year.
