A BURGLAR tried to mop up his tracks after stealing from a restaurant in Cirencester, police said.
The raid happened overnight between December 28 and 29 at a restaurant in Cricklade Street.
Having gained entry, the burglar stole the contents of the till, which was just under £100.
Sergeant Garrett Gloyn said that the offender "somewhat unusually mopped the floor prior to leaving".
Police believe that the culprit was trying to cover his tracks.
