CRICKLADE Post Office will be temporarily closed for extensive refurbishments next year.
The Post Office, based inside Tesco Express in High Street, will be closed from January 30 to February 11 as it aims to open up as a newly refurbished shop providing a modern environment for customers.
The Post Office apologised for any inconvenience caused during the temporary closure and advised people to use the alternative branches in Down Ampney and South Cerney.
Damien Haydock, Post Office network operations manager, said: “The safety of our customers is of paramount importance to us. Therefore, to allow for the refurbishment to take place it will be necessary for the service to close, temporarily.
"We are sorry for any inconvenience caused to our customers during this period. However, the planned improvements to the store will, in time, compensate for any disruption caused in the short term.”
