COTSWOLD MP Geoffrey Clifton-Brown said he was dismayed that nothing had been done to resolve the flooding risks in Siddington.
The MP chaired his annual flooding meeting at Cotswold District Council (CDC) offices in Cirencester last month.
At the meeting, he was disappointed to find that nothing had been done on the maintenance problems to resolve flooding risks in Siddington and the Bloor Homes development.
He was also disappointed to find that no progress had been made on the ownership of the Shorncote ditch.
As a result, a Cirencester Flood Partnership Group will be formed. It will comprise of officials from CDC, Gloucestershire County Council, Thames Water and the Environment Agency.
The new group will be expected to provide quarterly reports and updates on flooding matters in the area.
At the meeting, it was also announced that the major bund scheme to the north of Cirencester to hold up water in extreme flooding conditions has been abandoned in favour of other more effective small-scale schemes.
Commenting after the meeting, Geoffrey Clifton-Brown MP said: "All in all, flood prevention work is proceeding well with all the agencies working much more closely together, but we must always be vigilant on flooding matters to avoid a repeat of years such as 2007 and 2013 when excess rainfall occurred."
The next Cirencester flood meeting will take place on November 23 next year.
