LIZ Hurley caused quite a stir when she turned up at a village fete with her beau Shane Warne in tow.
The actress, who lives near Cirencester, opened the Ampney Crucis Village Fete with the former Australian cricketer drawing in record crowds.
Rosanna Armitage, fete committee chairman, was delighted that the star has taken time out to come to the fete.
She said: “It was fantastic that Liz Hurley came because I know she is a busy lady.
“She was charming – she definitely increased the number of people that attended.
“There must have been about 800 people. There was definitely a higher turnover than previous years and it stayed busy the whole time.
“We took more in raffle tickets than ever before and other stalls felt their takings had increased too,” she added.
