A WHEELCHAIR-BOUND one-legged cannabis grower from Fairford was at the centre of a bizarre public spectacle when he was taken from prison to a court hearing with an entourage of FIVE security officers.
Garage boss Trevor Robins, who is serving a 33-month jail term, travelled 100 miles from Exeter Prison to Gloucester crown court and back for a hearing to decide how much money would be seized from him as proceeds of crime.
Sitting in his wheelchair, Robins was handcuffed to a male security officer while a female colleague pushed him across the Shire Hall car park in the city.
Three other uniformed guards accompanied them.
