COTSWOLDS band Souljacker edged another step closer to rock stardom this week with their victory in a prestigious Battle of the Bands competition.
The five-piece, made up of four former pupils from Bourton-on-the-Water’s Cotswold School, saw off strong opposition at Mooncalf Battle of the Bands at Riffs Bar, Swindon, They won five days in a recording studio and a spot on the mainstage at Wiltshire festival Moonfest, headlined by Pete Doherty’s Babyshambles.
One of the judges was rock showman Justin Hawkins, formerly of The Darkness, who congratulated the band on their victory.
