A FUNDRAISING campaign is encouraging people to show their support by wearing red.

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is inviting Gloucestershire residents to take part in its annual Wear it Red campaign throughout February 2027, with this year’s event extended to a month-long celebration.

The campaign encourages schools, businesses, community groups and individuals to organise red-themed fundraisers such as dress-down days, cake sales, or other creative activities.

Nicole Beebee, Gloucestershire fundraising executive at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: "Wear it Red is one of my favourite campaigns because it shows the heart of our Gloucestershire community.

"Every bake sale, every dress down day, every creative idea helps us reach someone in their moment of greatest need.

"We receive no Government funding, so the kindness shown during this campaign genuinely keeps our service operational."

Those who register will receive a free digital resource pack, which includes fundraising ideas, downloadable materials and a special message from the charity’s aircrew.
