ROMAN life will be brought to life through hands-on activities, crafts and history.

Chedworth Roman Villa is hosting its Roman Crafts Weekend on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27.

Visitors can explore the skills behind the decorative objects and everyday tools of Roman Britain.

The event features live demonstrations, interactive activities and the chance to handle genuine Roman artefacts found at the villa.

Aimee Williams, senior visitor experience officer at Chedworth, said: "Roman Crafts Weekend offers a unique opportunity to see traditional Roman craft techniques brought to life and to gain a deeper understanding of the skills behind the objects used in everyday life nearly 2,000 years ago.

"It is one of the highlights of Chedworth's events calendar, with visitors travelling from across the country to learn more about the artisans who designed, built and decorated villas such as Chedworth."

Handcrafted items will be available to buy during the weekend.

Normal admission charges apply.
