A HUGE aircraft fuselage is being transported through Cirencester this weekend on its way to a nearby airfield.
Gloucestershire police said that police are escorting the abnormal load through the town at around 9am on the morning of Sunday, November 24.
The escort will travel along the A419 from Cirencester before joining the A429, where it will move to its final destination of Kemble airfield.
Gloucestershire Constabulary said that the fuselage requires escort by officers as it is 40 metres long and 4.5 metres wide.
“While traffic disruption will be kept to a minimum, motorists are advised to avoid this route during the relevant times or plan their journey times accordingly,” a spokesperson for Gloucestershire police said.
