A STORE in Cirencester has announced that it will be closed for two extra days over the festive period.
Home and garden retailer Gardiner Haskins, situated in Dyer Street, Cirencester, said that it will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day in 2024.
The store said that this is to allow staff to enjoy the festive period with their families.
In line with normal trading hours, the shop will also be closed on Sunday, December 29.
Gardiner Haskins has revealed a full list of opening hours for the Christmas period.
The festive opening times are:

Monday, December 23: 9am to 6pm

Friday, December 27: 9am to 6pm

Saturday, December 28: 9am to 6pm

Sunday, December 29: CLOSED

Tuesday, December 31: 9am to 4pm

Wednesday, January 1: 10am to 5pm

Thursday, January 2: Normal hours resume
The independent store, which stocks home and garden items including electrical appliances, furniture and bathrooms, has been on the Cirencester high street since 1979.
Steve Whitcombe, retail director at Gardiner Haskins, said: “It has been another busy year for Gardiner Haskins Cirencester.
“In April, we celebrated our 45th anniversary of serving the Cirencester community with a fundraising event raising £1,268 for the Cirencester Foodbank.
“We have also made big investments into the store, including a brand-new electronic point of sale system.
“Our store works so well because of our hardworking staff, so we feel it is only right to allow them time with their families this Christmas.
“We look forward to welcoming our customers in over the festive period for all their Christmas essentials.”
Outside of its festive hours, Gardiner Haskins is open from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 6pm.
