THE ORGANISERS of Malmesbury Carnival have thanked volunteers and attendees for their time and effort at this year's procession.
The long-standing tradition which has been going for over a hundred years and brings residents, businesses and visitors together returned to the town on Saturday.
A spokesperson said: "We thank everyone who showed up to support us on the procession route.
"We thank all the volunteers helping steward and especially to those who entered the procession and put a huge amount of thought, time, effort and fun into their costumes and decorations.
"Planning this (and all our other events) is a labour of love and there is no better reward than seeing lots of happy faces!"
The winners are:
Best Walking Entry: George Vets with King Athelstan & his Animals
Best Wonky Wheels: Vieve Forward, the Viking Marauder
Best Motorised Entry (adults): The New Inn, Seagry does Dad's Army
Best Pub: The Rose & Crown with their Whole Hog parody
Bob Browning award for wackiest entry: The Whole Hog, Alternative Kings & Queens
Paul Dove Cup for most outstanding Entry in Spirit of Carnival: Sarah Osbourne & Friends, Flower Power
Best Athelstan themed Entry: Jackdaws Running Club, Athelstans Circus.
The judges were Roz Savage MP, Syd from Stencil Shed and Miss Stencil Shed.
