THE HARVEY family from Malmesbury is celebrating an exceptional weekend of success as siblings Lilli and Louis Harvey showcased their impressive talents in both bodybuilding and motorsport.
On Saturday, Lilli Harvey, known for her resilience and determination, achieved a remarkable victory at the IBFA Welsh Open Bodybuilding Championships in Wales.
In only her second-ever competition, she won the women’s open bikini class and came close to claiming the overall women’s title.
This achievement secures her a spot in the IBFA Miss Britain competition this October and an opportunity to represent the UK at the IBFA World Finals in Italy this September, marking a significant milestone in her rapidly growing career.
Following Lilli’s triumph, the family undertook an overnight drive from Wales to Snetterton to support Louis, who competed the next day.
Louis Harvey demonstrated his racing prowess at the Snetterton race circuit in the MSV Trackday Trophy in the Class C Pro-Am Clio.
Louis secured 2nd place in qualifying and showcased impressive early race pace by advancing from 11th on the grid to 5th on track, establishing a 12-second lead over the chasing Class C cars.
He also set the fastest lap in Class C, highlighting his exceptional driving skills.
The race took a dramatic turn when a major crash brought out the safety car halfway through. This provided the Pro-am team with a crucial opportunity to swap drivers, with Oliver Richardson taking over from Louis, who had laid a solid foundation with his strong early performance.
After a challenging period to clear the wreckage, Richardson faced a tense final lap. His exceptional driving through the back markers proved decisive and combined with Louis’s impressive early pace, their teamwork secured the team’s victory.
Based in Wiltshire, Lilli and Louis draw inspiration from their mother, a former professional bodybuilder with numerous titles, and their father, who runs the local fire station and is known for community support and charity work.
Looking back on their achievements, Lilli and Louis expressed their gratitude to the local businesses, friends, and family who support them. As they gear up for upcoming challenges in bodybuilding and racing, they remain focused and determined, aiming to continue their success and inspire others along the way.
