A CIRENCESTER WOMAN will face trial next year accused of arranging her own illegal abortion.
Sophie Harvey, 25, is accused of procuring a poison, procuring her own miscarriage by poison and attempting to pervert the course of public justice.
Her boyfriend Elliot Benham, 25, is accused of attempting to pervert the course of public justice.
The charges relate to events in the summer of 2018 when the defendants were 19.
Gloucester Crown Court heard the defendants will face a five-day trial beginning on February 24.
Harvey, of St Mary’s Road, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, and Benham, of Wingfield, Swindon, Wiltshire were released on bail.
They were excused attendance from the short hearing.
