Please can I through your newspaper say a big thank you to a group of gentlemen.
On Saturday, June 8 while walking home from my friend's house - this 78-year old - who I may add was sober - had a nasty fall in the Market Place in Cirencester.
A group of colourful dressed young men leapt to my aid, after checking that I was not badly hurt and the offer of a taxi home.
I loved the comment from one of the young men who said “I’ve had six pints, what's your excuse?”
Two other gentlemen walked along home with me, only leaving me when I assured them that I was fine.
I hope you went on to enjoy your evening - thank you.
Joan Muffett, Cirencester.
