A HOST of Pride events are taking place in the area over the next few months.

Pride in Cirencester is happening today, while Wotton Pride is scheduled for June 15.

Stroud Pride takes place on June 22, and Pride in Tetbury is happening on July 6.

Later this year, Dursley Pride is scheduled for August 26, while Pride in Gloucestershire (which takes place in Gloucester) is due to occur on September 14.

Pride in Cirencester takes place in the Abbey Grounds from 12pm to 5pm.

Hosted By Vanilla Fuzion and Chlo Mydia, acts include Wren, Polly Pocketbook and Lilly Love.

Wotton Pride is Wotton-under-Edge’s first Pride event.

Events include a parade, a family disco and a drag takeover.

Stroud Pride takes place in Bank Gardens from 12pm to 5pm.

Its vision is focused on celebrating Stroud’s acceptance of its LGBTQ+ community, making the town a beacon of tolerance and acceptance.

Pride in Tetbury is scheduled to happen at Tetbury Goods Shed from 12pm to 6pm.

Activities include a line-up on the main stage, a dog show and a trans zone.

Dursley Pride kicks off at 12pm.

It begins with a parade from Dursley’s bus station at 12pm, arriving at the town’s recreation ground for an afternoon of music, entertainment, stalls, food and more.

Pride in Gloucestershire takes place from 12pm to 8pm at Gloucester Park, though there is a Pride march beginning at Gloucester Cathedral from 10:30am to 12pm.

Activities include a line-up spanning four stages, as well as a family zone, a youth zone, an inclusions and community village and a trans zone.

Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service will be attending the events at the different locations.

Crew will be visible with their Pride fire engine at every event and will be on available to give fire safety advice.

“We’re delighted to be showing our support for Pride in Gloucestershire,” said Mark Preece, chief fire officer.
