THE smell of delicious treats wafted across Cirencester's town centre this weekend while local performers provided the perfect backdrop for a successful food festival. 

Hundreds of hungry residents and visitors swarmed to the popular Cirencester Food & Lifestyle Festival in the town's buzzing Market Place on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19.

The colourful array of food stalls set up for the event offered attendees a bounty of sweet and savoury snacks to indulge in.

Local photographer Adrian McPherson captured the moment when a man on stilts carrying a huge hotdog made his way through the Market Place.

He also snapped a picture of a chef riding a cockerel which brought smiles to many families in attendance.
