A WOMAN has been seriously injured after crashing a car into a tree near Stroud.
Emergency services including an air ambulance attended the scene on the B4066 in Nympsfield at around 1.35pm yesterday, Monday, May 13.
It is understood the vehicle left the road by the Bristol and Gloucestershire Gliding Club and then collided with a tree.
The woman aged in her 40s was left with serious injuries and taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol, police say.
Road closures were in place until around 5.15pm.
A police spokesperson said: “Police were called to the B4066 in Nympsfield at around 13.35pm yesterday with a report that a car had left the road by the Bristol and Gloucestershire Gliding Club and collided with a tree.
“A woman in her 40s was taken by air ambulance to Southmead Hospital in Bristol where she was treated for serious injuries.
“Road closures were put in place and were lifted at around 5.15pm.”
