The latest designs have been revealed for a planned DIY store under construction in Wiltshire.

Last May Kellaway Building Supplies Ltd had plans to build three commercial units, at Methuen Park in Chippenham, approved by Wiltshire Council.

The development, located between Methuen Business Park and Easton Lane, includes a 1,800sq metre Kellaway builders merchants store.

Construction has already started at the site and the two other commercial units could be occupied by other firms, a service yard, and parking and landscaping.

Last month Kellaway lodged plans for the building signage and an external totem sign advertising the store’s opening times.

The designs for several signs highlighting different parts of the shop, including the entrance and warehouse, have been submitted.

During the original planning process, Kellaway said the new store would open six days a week and employ around a dozen people.

Kellaway currently has 16 stores across the west, providing building, landscaping and DIY products, and believes the development will generate “much-needed jobs for local people.”

The proposal for the signage is currently going through a public consultation and the council is set to make a decision by Wednesday, May 29.
