FIVE people have been arrested after police discovered several suspicious items inside a vehicle this morning.
Police officers stopped a car in Sheep Street, Stow-on-the-Wold at around 2.15am on Thursday, May 2 after they smelt a pungent aroma of cannabis coming from the vehicle.
During a search of the vehicle, police found angle grinders, head torches, balaclavas, gloves and replacement number plates.
Four men from Bristol, aged between 22 and 26, and a 16-year-old boy, also from Bristol, were arrested on suspicion of going equipped to steal and possession of a Class B drug.
They remain in police custody for questioning.
Investigating officers are asking anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area last night to get in contact.
