EXCITMENT filled the air at a popular late-night venue in Cirencester last week when an exciting addition was unveiled.

Seventeen Black in Castle Street, Cirencester hosted an energetic party to launch its brand-new karaoke room on Thursday night, April 25.

Excited regulars and newcomers swarmed to the venue, picked out their favourite tunes from an extensive selection of 100,000 songs and sung their hearts out.

The bustling event saw live performances from previous contestants from hit TV shows such as Lilly Hobbs from The Voice UK Kids and Flynn Stronach from The X Factor.

The lively venue will be holding weekly karaoke nights every Thursday from 9pm and the room can also be hired to accommodate groups of up to 40 guests.

General manager at Seventeen Black James Stone said: "It was an incredible night, Cirencester truly showcased its remarkable talent.

"With Sing Thursdays, our goal was to create a carefree karaoke experience that resonates with all music tastes, spanning generations.

"Our launch night certainty struck a chord!

"By the end of the evening, the entire venue was arm in arm singing together!

"The response has been phenomenal.

"We're thrilled to witness a diverse range of bookings, from teenage parties to post-work gatherings, and even hen and stag celebrations."

Director Dan Lafford said: "Consumer trends are changing.

"People don't just want to go out for a drink anymore; they demand an activity to complement it.

"For years, we've received inquiries about karaoke, so we felt that now was the right time to introduce it.

"Plus, in my family, we love a good sing-song!"
