GUESTS sipped on prosecco and munched on macaroons to celebrate the opening of a new clothing shop in Tetbury.
Mum-of-four Emma Moore hosted a bustling launch party at her brand-new children's fashion shop Dot and Doug in Church Street, Tetbury on Saturday, April 6.
The entrepreneur first launched the brand in 2019 whilst she was studying fashion design at university.
Emma and her team of seamstresses make all the beautiful clothing themselves by using sustainable materials and trims.
Some of their garments have been stocked in Joules and on Not On The High Street online.
Emma wanted to create a relaxed friendly atmosphere in her new shop, which also offers a selection of eco-friendly sourced children’s toys and accessories.
The few last weeks have been a whirlwind of sewing, painting and decorating ahead of the shop's opening.
Reflecting on the busy launch, Emma said: "The last few weeks have been a whirlwind, and I have enjoyed every minute.
"The footfall has been great and I have enjoyed meeting everyone.
"The launch party was very successful.
"Guests enjoyed prosecco from Tetbury wines, cakes and macaroons while they browsed, chatted and shopped.
"The atmosphere was relaxed with a buzz of excitement in the air.
"We welcome everyone, whether they are here to just browse, get some shopping advice or have a chat.
"You will often see me sewing in the background when you come in.
"I have had an amazing response from the local community and tourists, with positive feedback on Dot and Doug being a part of Tetbury.
"I have also been welcomed by many of the local traders, which has been really lovely.
"We have also decided to support two local charities each month to give back to the community.
"10 per cent of all our in store Wednesday sales and 100 per cent of all our tote bag sales will be donated to these charities."
Currently the shop is open between 10am-2.30pm on Tuesdays, and between 10am-4.30pm Wednesday-Saturday.
Emma revealed that they are going to trial opening on Sundays too starting from this weekend, between 10am and 4pm, due to request and demand.
If successful, the shop will remain open on Sundays permanently.
