IT HAS been a busy past month for the Community Kitchen with two back-to-back festive dinners in Cirencester.

On March 17, dinner guests were treated to a St Patrick’s Day Supper complete with Irish Dancing and Guinness Beef Stew and Cabbage.

With St Peter’s Parish Hall adorned in green decorations, everyone enjoyed an Emerald Fizz spritzer and an assortment of puddings including Pot of Gold pavlova,

End of the Rainbow cupcakes, Guinness chocolate cake and Irish apple tart with custard.

Guests were also given a traditional Irish Blessing card to take away.

Then on Easter Monday, the Stars and Stripes hung throughout St Peter’s Hall as dinner guests enjoyed an authentic American BBQ.

The menu featured all the staples such as devilled eggs, barbeque ribs, cornbread, pasta salad, brownies and cherry cream cheese pie.

Guests were able to wash down their meal with a Sprite and grenadine mixture known as a Shirley Temple.

In addition to great food, songs from Lesley Gore, the Four Tops, Diana Ross and other American classics filled the hall.
