A MONTHLY café has been set up near Cirencester to offer veterans and their families support.

Ex-armed forces personnel and their loved ones have been invited to drop in for a brew at a pop-up Help for Heroes café at Lake 32, Spratsgate Lane in Shorncote (GL7 6DF) at 10am on Friday, April 12.

These monthly events aim to provide a welcoming space for military personnel to come together, meet new people and find out what support is available from Help for Heroes charity.

The charity helps people get back on their feet, if they are having money problems, need somewhere to live, are struggling to get a job, or don’t know how to apply for benefits.

It also runs sporting and social activities across to combat loneliness and isolation and provides financial grants for home adaptations and medical equipment, to help people overcome challenges from illness or injury.

The charity has decided to set up more monthly cafés events in our area in an attempt to get more veterans across Gloucestershire the help they need.
