THE family of a 'kind and caring' mother who died following a crash near Ashton Keynes on Friday have issued a heartfelt tribute.

Officers were called to a four-vehicle collision on the B4696 Braydon Road on Friday afternoon, March 15 and pronounced one of the drivers involved, Danielle Stevens, aged 29, of Royal Wootton Bassett, dead at the scene.

Two other people were taken to hospital to be treated for injuries, which are not thought to be life threatening.

Danielle, more affectionately known as Dannii, has been described as an 'amazing mummy' who had an 'effervescent soul'.

In a statement released by Wiltshire Police, her family said: "On Friday our beautiful girl Danielle (Dannii) lost her life in a road collision, and we are truly devastated.

"We are lost and broken beyond words, as are Dannii’s gorgeous girls who have lost their amazing mummy.

"Dannii was such a kind, caring and effervescent soul and brought all our lives into glorious technicolour.

"Dannii leaves an extensive family and many friends, too many to mention, and we ask for privacy in our grief as we try and come to terms with this tragic loss and shock.

"As a family, we wish to thank everyone for the outpouring of love, kind words and support which is giving us strength at this difficult time.

"We love you Princess - sweet dreams xx."

Police have asked anyone with dashcam footage or information about the crash to call the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01225 694597 quoting log number 160 of March 15.
