A MAN was arrested after more than £2,000 worth of cannabis was seized during a drug raid in Cirencester.

Police officers issued a warrant to search a property in Siddington Road, Cirencester on Thursday morning, March 7 after information had been submitted from the public about suspected drug dealing.

Hundreds of pounds worth of cash, a large amount of cannabis and two mobile phones which were found inside the property were seized.

A man from Cirencester, aged in his 60s, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled Class B drug and has since been released on bail to allow further inquiries to take place.
