THE shelves at a brand-new deli in Cirencester have been stocked with an abundance of mouth-watering local produce ahead of its opening this weekend.
Roots + Seeds Deli will open to customers for the very first time at 9am on Saturday, March 9.
The deli is an extension of the Roots + Seeds Kitchen Garden business, which was founded by culinary duo Toby Baggott and Sam Lawson-King.
This exciting new shop is situated in a unit opposite the popular café, next to Lily's Antiques, at the Old Kennels on the edge of Cirencester Park.
Walls have been painted, colourful prints have been hung and a sign has been put up ahead of the opening.
Pictures of the new deli shows foodies in the area a selection of what kind of artisan produce will available to buy in the shop this weekend.
The idea is that the deli will stock produce from the same local suppliers and artisan producers which currently supply Roots + Seeds restaurant from within a 25-mile radius of the restaurant, along with carefully sourced items from around the UK.
Shoppers might be able to recognise some local brands on the shelves, including Rave Coffee, Benson’s Juices, Cirencester & District British Bee Association honey, Corinium Ales and Cotswolds Lakes Brew Co.
The deli will also offer freshly picked, seasonal produce from Toby's on-site 1/4 acre kitchen garden, which will be subject to availability, plus a selection of preserves made head chef Sam Idoine.
It will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 4pm.
