THE administrators of Body Shop announced today that its Cirencester store will close.
The Cricklade Street cosmetic shop is one of 82 retailers across the UK that are due to shut down.
Stores in Chippenham, Salisbury and Trowbridge have also been axed.
It is estimated that 489 people across the UK will lose their jobs due to these closures.
This follows the announcement that the high street brand had collapsed into administration earlier this month.
Insolvency experts from FRP Advisory have been appointed to oversee the administration process.
Body Shop was founded in 1976 by Anita Roddick and her husband Gordon as one of the first companies to promote so-called ethical consumerism, focusing on ethically produced cosmetics and skincare products.
However, FRP Advisory revealed earlier this month that the business has being struggling for years amid a challenging backdrop for shoppers.
