MORE than 20 businesses attended an engaging workshop this week to learn about the power of social media marketing.
The event - which was held at Cotswold District Council's Moreton-in-Marsh offices on Tuesday, February 20 - was hosted by The Growth Hub Cirencester.
The Growth Hub is a co-working organisation which offers free support and workshops for Cotswold-based businesses.
Tony Dale, CDC cabinet member for the economy and council transformation, commenced the event with an engaging How To: Market Your Business Using Social Media session.
The government-funded workshop was presented by Shire Marketing Specialists and provided business owners with the opportunity to network and delve into the ins and outs of social media marketing.
A spokesperson for The Growth Hub said: "We are delighted with the turnout and the positive response received from our first workshop in Moreton-in-Marsh.
"This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to providing valuable resources for the local business community and expansion into the North Cotswolds.
"We host a range of workshops and courses in Cirencester for local businesses in the Cotswolds District to upskill themselves and their teams by breaking down barriers to growth.
"Run by local experts, this is a great place to come to develop yourself and your business and we look forward to this continued success with our new outpost in Moreton-in-Marsh."
The next workshop in Moreton will focus on great content for early stage businesses and will take place at the same venue on Wednesday, April 17.
