The aftermath of a dramatic fire affecting a coach company that transports children to and from Swindon, Cirencester and Gloucestershire has been captured in new photos.

IGO Bus is run by the same person as Denwell Coaches, Darren Brown, who recently had his license revoked due to a number of unsafe practices and dangerous vehicles.

And only a few weeks after the Traffic Commissioner's decision, one of their coaches caught fire on the evening of Thursday, February 12 with photos taken by witnesses showing the vehicle ablaze with flames and smoke.

Now, new photos taken after the flames have died out have shown the charred wreckage of the bus which was believed to have been transporting children home from school in Purton or Royal Wootton Bassett.

Wiltshire Council was going to use the company until the license was officially revoked in March, but following the fire, it has ended the contract with them with immediate effect, and is now in the process of arranging alternative provision for the children who used the service.

A spokesperson said: "We have contacted the schools and arranged alternative transport for all affected pupils this afternoon (Friday). We are now working hard to secure suitable alternative transport for when the children return from half-term on Monday, February 19."
