A SPATE of number plate thefts took place in Cirencester this week. 

Police officers have advised residents to fit their cars with anti-theft screws after number plates were removed from two cars parked in a resident car park in Forstall Way, Cirencester this week. 

They believe the number plates was stolen from the first car (incident number 119) sometime between 5pm on Monday, February 5 and 8.30pm on Tuesday, February 6.

A number plate was unscrewed from the second car in the same car park (incident number 304) sometime between 8pm on Monday, February 5 and 6am on Tuesday, February 6.
 
Similarly, number plates were stolen from a car parked in Pheasant Way, Cirencester (incident number 371) sometime between 2pm on Monday, February 5 and 8am on Tuesday, February 6.
           
Police officers have urged anyone with information about any of these incidents to come forward.

Information can be provided to the police by completing an online form on Gloucestershire police's website quoting incident number 119, 304 or 371 of February 6.
