TWO teenage boys have been arrested following an assault outside a petrol station in Cirencester earlier this week.
Police were called to the forecourt of Shell petrol station in Chesterton Lane at around 9.20pm on Monday, January 29.
A man, aged in his 20s, said he witnessed a group of boys attempting to shoplift and then was hit in the face with a pack of canned drinks by one of them.
This caused him to fall onto the floor, and two of the boys proceeded to kick him in the head which caused facial injuries.
Two boys, aged 14 and 15, and both from Cirencester, have now been arrested on suspicion of robbery following a police appeal.
The pair - who cannot be named for legal reasons - have been bailed until April 26 while enquiries continue.
