THE opening date for a new deli in Cirencester has been announced.
Cirencester residents will be able to browse through a variety of mouth-watering local produce at the brand-new Roots + Seeds Deli for the very first time on Saturday, March 9.
The deli is an extension of the Roots + Seeds Kitchen Garden business and will be situated in a unit opposite its popular café, next to Lily's Antiques, at the Old Kennels on the edge of Cirencester Park.
This new artisan food store will align with the business' farm to fork ethos and will be brimming with freshly picked vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers from Roots + Seeds founder Toby Baggott's on-site kitchen garden.
In addition, a selection of head chef Sam Idoine’s home-made jams, chutneys, pickles and preserves will also be on offer.
The fresh produce available will be subject to market availability, but much of the local ingredients which appear on the dining hub's blackboard menus will also be available to buy directly from the deli.
The deli's shelves will encompass a range of items from local suppliers such as whole bean and ground blends from Rave Coffee and honey from Cirencester & District British Bee Association's members.
Toby Baggott said: “Everything our suppliers deliver to the kitchen will be available to buy in our new deli.
“We really want to celebrate the amazing produce grown literally on our doorstep and introduce our incredible and dedicated suppliers to a wider audience.”
The deli will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 4pm.
