THREE men have been arrested after police officers tracked down a suspicious vehicle on the M4 on Monday night.

Wiltshire Police received reports of thieves stealing items from a van in Swindon at around 9pm on Monday, January 15.

Police officers located the vehicle involved and performed a tactical stop after it attempted a U-turn on the M4.

The three men in the vehicle - who were aged 23, 26, and 29 - were arrested and have since been charged with various offences.

Multiple vehicles were targeted in the Swindon area on Monday evening between 8pm and 11.30pm.

Motorcycles and tools were among items stolen.

Police officers have urged anyone who has been a victim of power tools theft recently or who witnessed suspicious activity on Monday evening to get in touch.
