A WARNING has been issued after power cables fell onto a road in the Malmesbury area this afternoon.
Police officers have closed off a section of Tetbury Road in Sherston today, Monday, January 15 after they received reports of fallen power cables on the road.
Drivers have been advised to take alternative routes while Scottish and Southern Electrics engineers fix the issue.
A spokesperson for Malmesbury Police said: "Cables have come down across Tetbury Road in Sherston.
"The road is currently closed and we are awaiting the arrival of Scottish and Southern Electrics who are due to arrive at 5.30pm this evening."
