A NEW restaurant is coming to Cirencester.

Owners of Dosa Park, a popular South Indian restaurant chain that started in Oxford, have decided to open a fourth venue in the heart of Cirencester.

The restaurant will be taking over the 29 Sheep Street site, which used to be home to Spanish restaurant Tierra and Mar before it closed in July.

There are already two Dosa Park restaurants in Oxford - in West Way Square and Park End Street - and one in Bankside, Kidlington.

Its menu features a wide range of South Indian dishes, including dosas, idlis, vadas, biryanis, an array of flavourful curries plus plenty of vegan and vegetarian options.

Dosa Park's website says: "The restaurant was established with the aim of providing authentic and traditional South Indian cuisine to food lovers.

"At Dosa Park, we believe in using fresh and high-quality ingredients to create delicious and healthy dishes that cater to the taste buds of everyone.

"We take pride in our friendly and attentive service, and our cosy and inviting atmosphere makes for a delightful dining experience."

This new food establishment in Cirencester will create around 10 full-time jobs and owners hope to have it ready for the public in January.

Co-owner Omer Rahim said: “This is a very different concept to the current Asian cuisine in Cirencester and offers an authenticity to this style of cooking.

"There are options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

“Dosa is a popular dish from this part of the world.

"It can be served with variety of fillings and accompaniments, such as potato filling, coconut chutney, sambar, and other flavourful curries.

"We look forward to sharing our food with you.”
