Communities in or near the Cirencester area will remember those who have given their lives for their country on Remembrance Sunday.

Here is a round-up of some of the events taking place this weekend.

Cirencester 

There will be a remembrance day service and parade in Cirencester on Sunday, November 12.

A service will begin inside St John Baptist Church at 10.45am and will be followed by laying of wreaths in the Market Place and a parade.

The parade usually goes through Cricklade Street, Market Place, Castle Street and Sheep Street.

Tetbury 

There will be also be a parade organised by the Royal British Legion in Tetbury on Sunday.

The parade will start at St Mary's Church at 2.30pm and will march towards St Saviour's Church where wreaths will be laid by around 20 organisations at the war memorial.

Officers from the 29 Company The Royal Logistics Corps are also expected to join this year’s service.

Malmesbury

Serving members of 9th Supply Regiment RLC, from The Royal Logistic Corps, will be marching from the Town Hall to Malmesbury Abbey in their pristine uniforms on Sunday, November 12 at 1.30pm.

After the parade a service will take place inside the abbey at 2pm.

The mayor, councillors and dignitaries including the deputy lieutenant of Wiltshire, Claire Garrett and Under Sheriff of Wiltshire, Mr Christopher Bromfield will all be in attendance.

Fairford 

The Fairford Remembrance Sunday Parade will also take place on Sunday, November 12.

The parade will assemble outside Hyperion House nursing home in London Street, Fairford at 10.15am and will then march towards St Mary's Church.

After a service in St Mary’s Church, there will be wreath laying at the war memorial in St Mary’s churchyard.
