NINE excited pupils from an independent school near Tetbury were invited to perform at King Charles III's private residence in Gloucestershire last week.

A small group of talented staff and students from Westonbirt School performed at the Highgrove Royal Warrant Holders Association's AGM at Highgrove House in Tetbury during a musical interlude on Friday, October 20.

The young musicians and singers treated guests to the oboe, piano and singing solos, as well as group pieces in the Orchard Room before dinner was served.

A spokesperson for Westonbirt School said: "Nine talented Westonbirt singers and musicians were invited to perform at Highgrove, the King’s private residence in Gloucestershire on Friday evening.

"The event was an annual dinner, following their AGM, held by the Highgrove Royal Warrant Holders Association in the Orchard Room with the kind permission of The King.

"The audience was clearly delighted with the lovely voices and high standard of playing and the school has received some fantastic feedback from attendees, which included Westonbirt alumni."
