TWO famous faces from the football world are due to visit Cirencester next month.

Former England football manager Sam Allardyce, who was recently manager of Leeds United, will be joined by Phil Brown, renowned for leading Hull City to championship safety, at a one-off meet and greet event at The Golden Cross Inn on Thursday, November 23.

Allardyce, who was appointed England Manager in 2016, was sacked less than a month into the role, following comments he made in an undercover newspaper sting.

The pair will be recounting the highs and lows of the most intense matches of their careers as well as providing an exciting insight of what it takes to be a professional footballer.

Staff at the pub - which is situated in Black Jack Street, Cirencester - are excited to give the former football managers a taste of life in the Cotswold capital.

The evening will start with a meet in greet, shortly followed by a delicious dinner cooked by head chef Giles Lee.

Attendees will also get the chance to ask the two footballing legends any burning questions at the Q&A after dinner.

Tickets cost £80 per person, which includes dinner, and can be bought in person at The Golden Cross Inn or by calling 01285 652137.
