THREE luxurious shepherd huts have been set up just a stone’s throw from Kemble train station.

When Daniel Keicher first took over The Tavern Inn next to Kemble train station six years ago he noticed that the village lacked accommodation for people coming to and from the area.

Over the last few years he has transformed the pub into a modern family friendly venue with good food and has now decided to work on an exciting new venture in its gardens.

He applied for planning permission for three huts which he has named Willow, Hazel and Beech.

Over the last five months Daniel and local carpenter, Andy Rogers (from Andy Rogers Timber Structures), have completely bespoke build the shepherd’s huts on site.

These cosy huts each encompass a double bed, kitchenette and a shower room and provide the perfect self-catered escape for couples looking for a Cotswolds getaway.

They also include a Smart TV, WiFi, fridge with ice box, electric vehicle charging, electric plinth heating, an electric oven and a two-ring induction hob.

Daniel said: "When I first took over the Tavern Inn in Kemble I noticed that there was a real lack of accommodation in the area, which was a surprise as the train station gets so busy.

"These three luxury shepherds huts have been fully kitted out to a high standard and are the perfect place for a break away.

"They also have the most beautiful view from the front porch, looking out over the glorious Cotswold countryside.

"It is such a great location because Kemble station is situated on the Cheltenham - Paddington line, so within 30 steps you can make your way into the heart of the Cotswolds.

"I think the huts will be a real asset to the community as we will be employing cleaners and a maintenance team to keep them nice for visitors.

"They are a great addition to the business and we are looking forward to having people to stay."

Visitors will be able to stay at the huts from Friday, October 13 onwards.
