Mother and daughter open Blend café in New Brewery Arts Cirencester

The café located on the second floor of New Brewery Arts in Cirencester has reopened just in time for autumn and is now called Blend.

It has been taken over by Karen Harvey and her daughter Jenna who between them have vast experience of what it takes to run a successful café in Cirencester.

Karen has run Diversitea Café - a quirky tea room situated in the Corn Hall in Cirencester - for the past seven years and Jenna previously ran Keith’s Coffee Shop in Black Jack Street.

They are both excited to be working together and want to invite the public to experience the new café for themselves.

Friends and family gathered at New Brewery Arts and clinked glasses of bubbly to celebrate the official opening of Blend on Tuesday evening, September 26.

Karen said: "New Brewery Arts approached us to run a pop-up café over the summer holidays and we instantly fell in love with the lovely light and airy space upstairs. 

"We put in a bid to take over the running of the venue and we were delighted to be chosen.Customers enjoying the new café (Image: Karen Harvey)

"We chose the name Blend because it can be applied to food, drink and the arts. 

"Cirencester is extremely lucky to have such a fabulous arts venue and we are thrilled to be supporting all the people that make up New Brewery Arts Charity such as the tutors, students, staff, makers and visitors."

The new café offers locally-roasted coffee, sustainable tea, cold drinks and an all-day brunch. 

Light lunches are served from noon and there is also a selection of homemade cakes on offer.

Blend is open between 9.30am - 4pm Monday to Saturday.

However, the opening times on Tuesdays are between 10am - 4pm.
