POLICE have issued a warning following a series of thefts from tractors in Wiltshire.

Officers from the Royal Wootton Bassett Neighbourhood Policing Team have received several reports of thieves stealing GPS equipment from tractors across the area. 

They have been in contact with local farms, dealerships and other agricultural businesses but want to make the wider public aware of this recurring crime.

Officer have encouraged the rural community to report any suspicious activity, such as a vehicle parked up at a rural location near a farm late at night. 

Information about these thefts can be reported on the Wiltshire Police website, or by calling 101 in an non-emergency or 999 in an emergency. 

The Royal Wootton Bassett team have invited any concerned residents to join them at a rural crime and horse event in Cross Hayes in Malmesbury between 10am-1pm on Tuesday, September 26 and later on in Sherston between 2pm and 4pm.
