A 104-YEAR-OLD from Cirencester recently met her great great granddaughter for the first time at a special celebration in her home.
Great great grandmother Phyllis Hiron invited five generations of her family to her home in Cirencester to celebrate the arrival of a new baby.
Newborn Llya lives in the Netherlands with her parents but they all flew to England for this special occasion.
This large family gathering was arranged so that the oldest and youngest maternal members of the family could meet for the first time.
The photograph above depicts Phyllis holding her new great great granddaughter Lyla, Phyllis's daughter Valerie, granddaughter Pippa and great granddaughter Maya.
Phyllis was born in Wiltshire and moved to Gloucestershire as a teenager.
She went onto work in service in Bisley, where she met and married her husband Hector Gardiner.
They lived and raised their three children - Maurice, Angela and Valerie - in Bournes Green and Oakridge.
Hector died in 1977 and a couple years later Phyllis remarried and moved to Cirencester where she has been living ever since.
Phyllis was thrilled that all her family members took the time out of their busy lives to gather under one roof.
She now has three children, seven grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
