Organisers announce road closures to accommodate carnival festivities

CARNIVAL organisers have announced which roads will be closed in Malmesbury to accommodate this weekend's festivities.

The Petticoat Lane pop-up street market returns to the Wiltshire town - as part of the Malmesbury's Carnival Programme 2023 - on Sunday, August 20 between 10am and 3pm.

Streets will be lined with a rainbow of market stalls offering an exciting assortment of knick-knacks.

Expect live music, delicious street food and an abundance of books, crafts, jewellery and textiles to browse from.

To accommodate this popular event most of Gloucester Street, the High Street and a small part of Market Cross will be closed to all traffic between 8am and 4pm on Sunday.

Motorists have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly and to avoid this area during this timeframe.
